Privacy Policy

Simple promise: Your content stays on your device. We only collect basic, non-identifiable usage analytics.

TLDR

Quick Notes uses Apple's on-device AI to process your voice recordings locally on your iPhone. We collect basic, non-identifiable usage analytics to improve the app experience, but we never collect your transcriptions, audio recordings, or any text you generate. Your content is completely private.

How On-Device Processing Works

100% Local Processing: All voice-to-text transcription happens entirely on your iPhone using Apple's built-in AI models. Your audio never leaves your device—not to our servers, not to Apple's servers, not anywhere.

No Internet Required: After the initial app download, Quick Notes works completely offline. Your notes are transcribed without any network connection.

Your Data Stays Yours: Notes are stored only in your app's local storage on your device. We have no servers, no databases, and no way to access your content even if we wanted to.

What We Collect

We collect basic, non-identifiable usage analytics to help us understand how the app is used and to improve the experience. This includes things like which features are used and general app performance metrics. This data is completely anonymous and cannot be traced back to you or your device.

What We Don't Collect

  • Voice recordings or audio data
  • Transcribed text or notes you create
  • Any content you generate in the app
  • Personal information or identifiable data
  • Device identifiers or fingerprints
  • Location data

Third-Party Services

We use privacy-focused analytics to collect anonymous usage data, but we don't use any advertising or invasive tracking services. Your content and personal information are never shared with any third parties.

Data Storage

Any notes you choose to save are stored locally in your app's private storage area using iOS's secure app sandbox. This data is protected by iOS's security mechanisms and is only accessible to Quick Notes on your device. You can delete notes at any time, and they're permanently removed from your device.

Apple's Privacy

Quick Notes uses Apple's Speech Recognition framework with on-device processing. According to Apple's documentation, when using on-device recognition, audio is processed locally and is not sent to Apple's servers. For more information about Apple's approach to privacy and on-device intelligence, please review Apple's Privacy Policy.

No Cloud Sync

Quick Notes does not offer iCloud sync or any cloud backup features. Your notes live only on your device. While this means you're responsible for backing up your device if you want to preserve your notes, it also means there's no cloud storage that could be compromised or accessed by anyone else.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, we'll update this page and the app description in the App Store. We're committed to maintaining the highest privacy standards.
